The outdoors is my favourite place. It challenges and tests but also offers comfort and exhilaration. This blog aims to relate some of my experiences in the outdoors. From lugging a heavy backpack up rocky  ranges to bouncing down rutted singletrack on a mountain bike. From pitching a tent in drenching rain to waking up the next day to warm, clear blue skies. I hope it gives some useful advice on trips into the wilderness and inspiration to get out there and experience it.

The Western Arthurs in Tasmania. One of the most spectacular walks I’ve done.

Hi Sharyn, thanks for reading my blog. It’s been so long since I did that walk. I’m pretty sure I started the walk after driving along Golden Point Rd at Blackwood and parking at an obvious parking spot. I think the track was just called Lerderderg Track. The main mineshaft was a couple of klms from the start. The others were all around different tracks that branched off the Lerderderg track. Can’t remember their names sorry and I can’t find the track notes I had. I might have got them from the where2walk website. Sorry I’m not much more help. I’ll have another hunt around and if I find something I’ll reply again. Cheers
